SRFD Supports Our Fallen Heroes

Members from the Sunman Rural Fire Department, along with members from other fire departments all around the world, mourned the loss of two brave souls from the Colerain Township Fire Department.
Captain Robin Broxterman and Firefighter Brian Schira lost their lives as they entered a burning house in an attempt to locate any persons that may have been trapped inside. Events like this make us all stop and think about just how dangerous this job really is. In the blink of an eye everything can change and the worst of the worst could happen. However, as firefighters we continue to perform our duties as we know that the benefits we provide to others outweigh the risks that we face…
