On Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th the Sunman Rural Fire Department will once again host the annual Sunman Rural Firemen’s Festival! This family-friendly event includes live entertainment both nights as well as an assortment of activities for adults and children alike. Friday night’s entertainment will feature the musical talents of the Mount Pleasant String Band, Tony Holt and the Wildwood Valley Boys, and The Renegades. Saturday night’s entertainment includes music from Whitewater Band, Wrecked, Krazyfly, and “GNR” Ultimate Tribute to Guns-N-Roses

On Friday February 19th, 2010 the Sunman Fire Department and Auxiliary will host their annual Fish Fry at the Sunman American Legion. All are welcome to the Event. The free-will donation fish dinner starts at 4:30pm and will last until 7:30pm. Individuals will be able to dine in or carry out their meals. The Sunman American Legion is located on Eastern Ave in the town of Sunman. The Sunman Rural Fire Department acquired an Eagle Air Mobile Air Unit trailer from Eagle Compressors, Inc. through the Dearborn Community Foundation grant program.
